Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church expressed support for the UOC

Bishop Budimljansko and Nikshichsky Ioannikii stressed that the UOC continues to carry out its mission and enjoys great respect among the other local Churches.

In his letter addressed to the Metropolitan of Boryspil and Brovarsky Anthony Bishop of the Serbian Orthodox Church his grace, Bishop Budimljansko and Nikshichsky Ioannikii expressed full support of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church. About this the Manager of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony announced on his page in Facebook.

“Watching the events, which these days happen in Ukraine, the Orthodox Church, I especially want to Express my fraternal and prayerful support of the episcopate, long-suffering flock and clergy of a single canonical branch of Orthodoxy in Ukraine in which You serve. Our clergy and believers are in constant prayer experience of their brethren in Ukraine. About this, we suggest visits to the parishes where the clergy and faithful with great interest asking about the situation in Ukraine for the Church.

We see that, despite all attacks, oppressions, threats, attempts to discredit the Church continues to carry out its mission and enjoys great prestige and respect among other local Churches. As You know, at a recent meeting of the Council of bishops of our Serbian Church has been clearly said by the mouth of all episcopate.

May the Lord continue to grant You the spiritual strength to preserve the Robe of Holy Church pure and uncontaminated, the unity among the brethren as You recently testified at the Apostolic Assembly of the Bishops in the Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. Christ is among us!” – the letter says.
