Books of the publishing house of the Sretensky monastery has received awards of the competition “Education through the book”

    

November 1, 2018 in the Temple of Christ the Savior was held a solemn presentation of diplomas and memorable prizes to the winners of XIII competition publications “Education through the book”.

The competition is held with the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill. The contest is organized by the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church and Exhibition Association “RESTEC” with the support of the Federal Agency for press and mass communications.

The ceremony was attended by:

  • the Chairman of the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk;
  • the Chairman of the Department for external Church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk;
  • Metropolitan Longin of Saratov and Volsk;
  • Bishop Balashikha Nikolay;
  • the General Director of group of companies “RESTEC” Igor Kirsanov;
  • Director, State public historical library of Russia Mikhail Afanasyev.

    

In 2018, the jury said more than 50 Russian and foreign publications in 11 categories.

Publishing house of the Sretensky monastery in this contest became a two-time winner. In the category “Best artwork” for the book of Archpriest Alexander Abdulina “Father Stefan and his ilk” took 1st place in the nomination “the Best art publication” for the book of the Archpriest Oleg Korytko “Homo Religiosus: the search paths of truth. Author’s course of lectures on “the history of non-Christian religions”“.

    

Two books for children were awarded with diplomas: the book of the Archpriest Artemy Vladimirov “My first confession” took 2nd place in the category “Best book for children and youth”, and the book V. N. Krupina “Big life, little Vanya” – 3rd place in the same category.

    

The publishing house also awarded 3rd place for the book of the priest Mikhail Zheltov “Official archbishops of Novgorod. Ancient Missal RNB, Sof.1056” in the category “Best historical book” and the book “I open the temple” with illustrations by Elizabeth Tsymbarevich in the category “Best picture book”.

In the nomination “the author’s First book,” the book Offered Vigilyansky “Visible invisible” received 3rd place.
