Christ will come, and we told Him – “don’t bother to pray!”

We — like the crouched woman whom Satan owns eighteen years and not a physical Slaby. We very often depend on the enemy not even noticing. Who gives us the arrogance? Who gives us the idea that we have the right to judge their own sense of omniscience and infallibility? Who inspires us to teach the people how to behave when we do not know what to do? The one who made the poor woman. Who does the healing? Christ The Savior. Sermon of Archpriest Alexander Abramov per week 28 after Pentecost.

In one of the synagogues He was teaching on Saturday. There was a woman, eighteen years having spirit indisposition: she was bending and could not straighten up. When Jesus saw her, he called and said to her: woman! you are freed from your disability. And laid hands on her, and immediately she was made straight and glorified God. The ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people, there are six days in which should do; in those and those come to be healed, and not on the Sabbath. The Lord said to him: hypocrite! not unties each of you his ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead it away to water it? this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound eighteen years, should not be free from the bonds still on the Sabbath? And when He had said this, all his adversaries were ashamed; and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things It.

LK. 13: 10-17

We often think and usually say about the omnipotence of God. We’re talking about what the Lord is able to raise the dead, that He, the Creator of heaven and earth, holds the hand of the whole Universe and the elements obey Him. But in the human world, I think the omnipotence of God the clearest expression in something more complex.

The Lord all-powerful to destroy human inertia, narrowness of doom, sashroot behavior, prejudice and hatred. I don’t know if it is possible to speak with regard to Christ, that one it’s easier for Him, and another more difficult. But, of course, to overcome human integrity, the evil closeness, the soothing belief in their own infallibility, the human ability to see the world this way and not otherwise, to live at sea their grievances and misconceptions is very difficult.

The Lord exclaims, referring to the earthly people: “O faithless and perverse generation, how long will you have to endure!” He brings peace and forgiveness, grant healing and was faced with what in response? The ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people: there are six days in which should do; in those and come to be healed, and not on the Sabbath.

What an amazing arrogance! He even finds it necessary to turn to Christ, he disciples said: “Do so.” And the people, “Come to be healed, when laid out the schedule on the wall.” Christ answers him: hypocrite! not unties each of you his ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath and lead it away to water it? this daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound eighteen years, should not be free from the bonds still on the Sabbath?

This question of the Saviour of us people collected in the Church of God, United Church of Christ, are surprised by, because it clearly reveals the nature of our stiffness.

We often resist the Savior even though we think we do for Him. Here we abandon reading certain prayer texts — that is, if Christ comes at that moment. Not giving up if we angrily on His arm: do not bother to pray? If we do not miss Christ in a series of those whom we sent dnesni day? For us it is very important to answer these questions. If we answer correctly, happens what Luke told us in this gospel, all his adversaries were ashamed; and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things It.
