I received God's call in sophomore year of High School. I was skeptical at first, but God was insistent. I finally decided to give religious life a try. I felt right at home and I've never regretted my decision to follow God's plan in my life. It's been a life filled with God's abundant blessings as well as a number of difficult times. God has guided me through.
I've taught full time for 47 years, was principal for 15 years. In fact, teaching is for me a real passion and that is a wonderful and enriching life experience. Even now, though retired, I still teach adults in RCIA and Sacramental Preparation Programs.
I also do parish work at St. Christopher Church here in Houston. I am an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and coordinate that program which includes scheduling Mass service, ministry to the homebound, and hospital ministry. I work with the senior members of the parish and with several committees, for example, the Post Baptism Evangelization Committee Project.
One of the most satisfying occurrences is the return and visiting of former students to share their life successes and their reminiscences of school days with me.
