Meet Sr. Kathleen Mulvihill...
I was born in the most beautiful part of Ireland -- County Kerry. I entered the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Congregation in 1949, accompanied by 11 companions, also from different parts of Ireland. After my initial training as a Sister and teacher, I have enjoyed 55 years of teaching Second and Third graders. I have worked in several schools in the Galveston Diocese and also in the Austin Diocese. I was priveleged to be able to prepare children for their First Communion.
I also worked with the after school program at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School and I enjoyed being there for the children.
I enjoy crocheting afghans for the preemies and they are given
to St. Joseph's Medical Center monthly. I enjoy reading, listening
to music (classical) and walking when possible.
My favorite Scripture passage is:
"The Lord is my Shepherd."
