The procession of the UOC-KP in Kiev in 2016
In the Greek media paid attention to the activity of the Ukrainian authorities using administrative resources to increase the mass marches of the UOC-KP in Kiev.
Ukrainian authorities require people to participate in the procession of the “Kiev Patriarchate”. About this in his article published on July 23, told the Greek publication Romfea.
The article presents the facts of use of administrative resources to collect people on “Fresno course” which will be held July 28, in Kiev, the supporters of the UOC-KP. As reported by Romfea, citing abundant evidence that in many Ukrainian cities the authorities organise the obligatory “pilgrimage” to increase the number of believers of the “Kiev Patriarchate”.
At the same time, as reports the edition, the believers of the canonical Church are trying to stop to take part in the procession in Kiev on July 27.
The material Romfea also reminded that in the traditional procession of the UOC attended by more than 100 000 people. For comparison, at the end of article the publication has posted photos of the procession of the UOC and of the procession of the “Kiev Patriarchate”.
Earlier, the Metropolitan of Zaporizhia and Melitopol Luka (Kovalenko) stated that civil servants forced the faithful to attend the events of the Kievan “Patriarchate”, which will be held in the capital in honor of the baptism of Rus. An expert on religious issues in Ukraine, Alexander Ermolenko commented on this information, saying that the administrative resources have connected all over Ukraine, as the authorities have the task to “provide the number of marches supporters of the UOC-KP”.
