June 20, 2018 in the Temple-on-Blood representatives of the media were presented the “Royal room” – blagoukrasheniju with the blessing of Metropolitan Kirill of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye to the Royal days of the altar of the chapel in honor of the Holy Royal martyrs, which was built on the site of the murder of the Royal family, the press service of the Yekaterinburg diocese.
About the new design, the re-establishment of the altar, the work carried out in it in the last year for the centenary of the feat of the Royal family, told reporters the senior priest of the Temple-Monument on Blood Archpriest Maxim changers.
Today completely changed the architecture of the altar. Like the Edicule in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, one inside the temple stands another temple – said father Maxim. – Inside the Temple-on-Blood is another small temple, which has its architectural form, its arches, its constructive part.
Father Maxim told about the work on the decoration which were carried out by craftsmen from Moscow and Belarus. On the paintings made by gifted painters of Moscow led by Alexei Vronsky, and the mosaic was done by the specialists of the mosaic workshop at the St. Elizabeth monastery of Minsk under the guidance of the iconographer Dmitry kuntsevych, the work was supervised by the nuns of Novo-Tikhvin monastery of Yekaterinburg, famous for his skill in the reconstruction and decoration of Orthodox churches.
Members of the media saw a unique mosaic that occupies the Central part of the altar depicting the Holy Royal Martyrs and injured them loyal subjects: Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich, the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, Tsarevich Alexis, Grand princesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, St Eugene’s doctor Botkin, the Valet Alexei Troupe, the cook Ivan Kharitonov and room girl Anna Demidov.
As the priest, the mosaic reflects the position of the Royal martyrs at the time of their martyrdom. They stood back to the East, facing West as it is now depicted in the altar.
Above them rises the Theodorov icon of the Mother of God, is the Heavenly patroness of the Romanov dynasty.
On the West the arch is the Derzhavnaya icon of the Mother of God that was revealed on the very day when the Emperor was forced to leave the throne, and the saints celebrated during the reign of Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich: St. Theodosius of Chernigov, St. Seraphim of Sarov, the Holy Princess Anna of Kashin, Saint Joasaph of Belgorod, St. Hermogenes of Moscow, Saint Pitirim of Tambov, St. John of Tobolsk.
The creation of the murals and mosaics were spent almost a year. The special difficulty was represented in mosaic work, as was completely re-designed the iconography of all members of the Royal Family and their loyal subjects.
The walls and floor around the altar with red onyx that is very symbolic, because the red color on the one hand, symbolizes the Martyr blood shed by the Royal family and her entourage, and on the other hand, red is the color of the Royal purple, purple, the Royal color. This color shows very well the feat of the Royal martyrs, and in Royal Majesty, and in humility was rare piety and extraordinary spiritual heights.
On the right side of the throne in special reliquaries will be fragments of the Ipatiev house: brick and baluster.
