In the American Nevada, one person was killed during a shooting in the Mormon Church, reports Fox News.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon in the city of Fallon in churches Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During the shooting killed a local resident Charles Miller, who was in the Church. Also one person was hospitalized with injuries. He was later discharged from hospital.

According to police, the shooting was arranged by one of the parishioners of the Church John O’connor. After a few shots in the Church building, the shooter went home. He later agreed to surrender to police surrounding his house. O’connor was placed into custody, but official charges against him are not yet filed.

Also the police suggested that the shooter was most likely going to attack specific individuals, not the Church.

“It is too early to understand the motive, but initially it seems that the attack was directed at the individual victim, and not the Church”, – quotes Fox News statement to the police.

In recent years, the United States was a total of 50 shooting incidents in public places. The bloodiest incidents were the shooting at the festival in Las Vegas and in the Baptist Church in Texas in 2017.
