Archbishop job (Hecha) stated that the UOC has ceased to exist on 11 October 2018.

When the Patriarchate of Constantinople abolished the act of 1686 on the transfer of the Kyiv Metropolitanate to the Moscow Patriarchate, he thereby abolished the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports the words of Archbishop job (Geci) BBC.

“From the canonical point of view, this means that today in Ukraine, the UOC-MP does not exist any more”, – said the representative of Fanara. And explained that “the abolition of the act 1686 abolished the administration of the Moscow Church of the Kiev Metropolitan and all dioceses in Ukraine.”

The Bishop of Constantinople does not understand why the hierarchs of the UOC to stay “under the connection with the Moscow throne.”

“All bishops in Ukraine, de facto according to the decision of the Synod are bishops of the Ecumenical throne, and now they have to wait for the directives of the Ecumenical Patriarchate concerning its continued operation and existence in the future the granting of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine”, – said the Hierarch Fanara.

On the question of the correspondent of the BBC, what if the bishops of the Church this state of Affairs does not agree, Archbishop job stated that such a position can only be connected with insufficient knowledge. He stressed that Ukraine has all led by the Ecumenical Patriarch according to its canonical prerogatives. And he will inform his subordinates when deemed necessary.

Archbishop job and added that “unification Council” in Ukraine, for this reason, going to call it Constantinople.

Metropolitan Calabrisi and Ageliki Ambrose criticized Fanara in Ukraine and suggested that they can split the Orthodox world.
