The clergy of the UOC are trying to tarnish due to the information of slander, said Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskyi and Kovel, Vladimir.

This was stated in his address to the faithful children of the Vladimir-Volyn eparchy, Metropolitan Volodymyr, reports the press service of the diocese.
According to the Hierarch, today’s joyful and salvific days of the Baptism of the Lord overshadowed by a great disaster, after the increase in attacks on UOC.
“We see that confrontation the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and anti-Christian forces is becoming more obvious and acute, he said.– Lately everywhere and only discussions about autocephaly, the newly formed structure of the PCU, the main actors of this process and other things… Under the guise of good deeds, great achievements and long-awaited gift offered to believers “Tomos”. In fact it is a hypocritical concept, cleverly and insidiously planned and played out by those who have no intention to care about the welfare of the Church.”
Metropolitan Vladimir said a special amplification attacks going on in this campaign period of the election campaign, pointing out their political implications.
“Are cruel, unconstitutional methods of struggle, systemic discreditation activity against the clergy. The clergy are under close surveillance of the provocateurs, looking for the slightest clue, to distort facts to denigrate, creating dirty information resonance”, – said the Hierarch.
Metropolitan Volodymyr called on the faithful to preserve unanimity, not to succumb to the lies and provocations, learn to accept dubious information critical of the Church, and strengthen their prayers.
Earlier, the Metropolitan of Zaporizhia and Melitopol Luka, addressed to the administration of Nikolaev, in which he said that the coercion and intimidation of the clergy of the UOC for the purpose of tax in a split contradict the Constitution of Ukraine.
