In Kiev-Pechersk Lavra brought eight of the world’s shrines that will participate in the celebrations on 27-28 July on the occasion of the 1030-th anniversary of the baptism of Rus. It is reported by the information Center of the UOC in Facebook.
As told operating Affairs of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), is the relics of the Holy Prince Vladimir, the myrrh-streaming head of the Holy Martyr Clement, Bishop of Rome, the foot of the Apostle Andrew, the icon of the Apostle Andrew with a particle of his relics and of the cross on which he was crucified, the icon of the virgin “Works”, the icon with relics of the Holy Martyr Vladimir (Bogoyavlensky), the relics of the Martyr St. George, the icon with the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
It is noted that the Shrine will lead the Procession and will be available for veneration in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, writes the Correspondent.
“These shrines will go on our first procession, they will lead it. When we come to Kiev-Pechersk Lavra will begin the vigil, and the icons and relics will be brought to the Refectory Church, where there will be round the clock. For the faithful will have the opportunity and night and day to come and pray. Will be constantly worship, hymns and prayers,” – said Metropolitan Anthony.
