The Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Theodore II, divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Odessa
Patriarch of Alexandria Theodore II said he will do everything possible to inform the primates of all local Churches about the real situation in Ukraine.
Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa, Theodoros II said: his presence at celebrations in the Odessa diocese, he stressed that the UOC-MP is the only canonical Church in Ukraine. He said this after a divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Odessa on September 28, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
“As we remember, the biggest problem in the Church all over the world have always been heresies and schisms. I want to ask you that you remain faithful in the face of Christ to his Church,” – said the Primate of the Church of Alexandria.
He explained that all need to rely on God: “the Church belongs to Jesus Christ and he directs it”. “The Lord fights for his Church” – said His Beatitude.
Addressing the hierarchs, clergy and faithful, Patriarch Theodoros II said: “I will do everything in their power to inform everyone about the situation in Ukraine, all the primates of the local Churches. To the canonical Church was the only canonical Orthodox Church, and the Lord has always set Her own good.”
He also added that going to happen, “huge sin”, “if you spill one drop of blood”.
According to the Archpastor, the highest value in the world is the canonicity of the Church. “Your Church is a canonical Orthodox and Holy,” – said the Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Theodore.

After the prayer service in the Odessa Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral, the Primate of the Alexandrian Orthodox Church addressed the faithful with a call to remain faithful to the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
