President Poroshenko the event in conjunction with the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor
The Autocephalous Church in Ukraine will be issued in the near future, said President Petro Poroshenko.
The head of state expects that the Autocephalous Church in Ukraine will be finally legally and canonically decorated. He said this on 24 November, in Kyiv at the event in connection with the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor, Interfax reports.
“We expect shortly the final legal and canonical design in the near future the final legal clearance and canonical autocephaly” – said P. Poroshenko.
The head of state reminded that the Synod of the Patriarchate of Constantinople adopted a decision on the granting of autocephaly to the Church “joined to the fullness of Orthodoxy in unity and internal peace.”
As reported by the SPM previously in their official Twitter account, the President corrected the record about a “positive decision” Fanara on the issue of granting Ukraine the Thomas it by replacing the word “Tomos” for “autocephaly”.
