The procession of the UOC-2017
Despite attempts to prevent the believers to get on the procession of the UOC in Kyiv came pilgrims from all regions of Ukraine.
Tens of thousands of pilgrims have already arrived in Kyiv to take part in the procession of the Church in honor of the 1030-th anniversary of the baptism of Russia, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
It is expected that this year the celebrations will be attended by over 100,000 people.
Despite all the obstacles from the enemies of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, pilgrims have already arrived in Kiev and are in the way. Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC has published a video with the faithful of the Odessa and Dnieper, which already reached the capital of Ukraine.
Rivne cleric of the diocese Archpriest Victor Earthen noted that attempts to block the passage of the faithful led to the opposite effect
“Because of this, the resistance of people came more than expected,” said the priest.
On the eve of the procession in many regions of Ukraine have created obstacles for the believers of the UOC, who desired to get to the procession.
Earlier, commenting on media reports about the authorities creating obstacles to the participation of the faithful of the UOC in the procession, the lawyers of NGO “Public advocacy” explained that it is a criminal offense.
