The Czech hierarchy – believers of the UOC: Hold on and know that we are United in Christ

A joint service of the bishops of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia in the monastery demonstrated the unity of the Churches, said Archbishop George.

The Bishop of the Orthodox Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia and Archbishop of St. Michael and Košice Georgy thanked his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius for the opportunity to serve in the Holy place – the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. He said this, the day of memory venerable. Theodosius the Great, after Liturgy in concelebration with the bishops of Baryshevskii Victor and Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Dionysius in the Caves.

In his speech after the Liturgy, Archbishop Georgy said: “Today we partook together of the Holy communion, and thus showed that we are one Church that we are all one in Christ. I am very grateful to his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufriy and vicar of the monastery Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Paul for the opportunity to serve in this Holy place, and dear fellow-bishops the bishops Baryshevskogo Victor and Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Dionysius, because to serve you is a joy and a blessing.”

According to him, the faithful of the UOC’s hard, but we are United in Christ: “be strong and know that Christ is among us,” – said the Hierarch.

He also gave believers the blessing of the UOC Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech lands and Slovakia Archbishop of Presov, the Metropolitan of Czech lands and Slovakia, Rastislav.

The memory of the great ascetic was honored by Archbishop Michael and Košice George, co-served by bishops Victor baryshevsky and Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Dionysius on January 24 in the Church of St. Theodosius of the caves in the Far Caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

As reported by PWC, informed the Archbishop of Presov Metropolitan of the Czech lands and Slovakia Rostislav said that the prayer support of the UOC headed by his Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry and is very worried about the brotherly Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
