October 29, 2018 in the Fireplace room of the Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church chaired by Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk was held the meeting of competitive Commission, to determine the best previously unpublished artwork on the theme of the feat of new martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church, according to patriarhiei.
The meeting was attended by the assistant Chairman of the publications Board, hieromonk Macarius (Kolmogorov) and Dmitry Volodihin, leading specialist of the sector competitive and educational programmes priest Nicholas Balan, Director of the publishing house “Nike” Nikolay Breev, writer Alexander Orlov.
During the meeting it was determined the finalists. In short, the list included writers: Tatiana Lashuk (the novel “the Cross in their hands”), Ekaterina Ivanova (novel “the Tribunal”) and Vladimir Chuprina (novel “Warrior”). Winners will be announced in January 2019.
In 2018 the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill Publishing Council of the Russian Orthodox Church held a reception of manuscripts for the contest “the Best previously unpublished artwork on the theme of the feat of new martyrs and Confessors of the Russian Church”. Partner in the contest is the publishing house “Nikea”.
