The entrance to the Near caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra
According to media reports, in the Nearer caves of the Kievo-Pechersk monastery the representatives of the Ministry of culture has made an inventory.
November 28 representatives of the Kyiv cave reserve (in the management of the Ministry of culture of Ukraine) conducted an inventory of the property in the Near caves of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. About it report “Vesti”, referring to the information received from the monks of the monastery.
According to “News”, around 18:00 on the territory of the monastery went “some officials” who said they have a corresponding order from the Ministry to conduct the inventory.
“We don’t understand why unknown people, without warning, literally burst into our house and waving a strange document, said they would describe the property. No official letters that will be produced by such actions, we did not receive, but were forced to let these people. Is this some kind of nihilism and disrespect for the Holy places and believers,” – leads edition of the words of the inhabitants of the monastery.
As it turned out, the seizure of property held by the representatives of the Kyiv-Pechersk reserve, under the management of the Ministry of culture.
As reported by PWC, informed the former leader of UNA-UNSO and the people’s Deputy from fraction “Radical party” Yuriy Shukhevych called on the authorities to establish control over Church property of the Kiev-Pechersk and Pochaev Laurel. Shukhevych published the Deputy address with the requirement to hold “accounting and recording of historical and cultural values”, referring to the information media about the fact that in laurels supposedly “prepares the removal of Church property.”
State bodies of Ukraine, by order of the Minister of culture Yevhen Nyshchuk, began in September the process of inventory of property of the UOC.
