In Kiev-Pechersk Lavra held a meeting of the Synod
The Holy Synod of the UOC established the celebration of the new wonder-working images.
September 25, the Holy Synod made a decision about the glorification of the new miracle-working icons, writes the Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
UOC Trigorskoye glorify the mother of God icon, which is located in Trigorskoye Spaso-Preobrazhensky male monastery trigorye village, Zhytomyr region (№26); the icon of the Mother of God “Helpless only Hope” from a temple in honour of sacred great Martyr Demetrius the village. Askania-Nova, Kherson region (No. 27); Gorodnitsky the icon of the Mother of God “assuage my sorrows”, which is located in the St. George stauropegial monastery of the village. Horodnytsia, Zhytomyr region (№28).
For these icons the following days of celebration: August 20 – in honor of Trigorskoye image of the Mother of God, 18th November – in honour of icon Bozhiej of Mother “the Helpless single Hope” February 7 – in honor of Gorodnickiy Mother of God “assuage my sorrows”.
Also, the Holy Synod called on the Patriarchate of Constantinople to cease interference in the internal Affairs of the UOC.
As reported by PWC, September 25, at the residence of the Primate of the UOC in the territory of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra held a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The meeting was chaired by his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufry.
