“This year, together with his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill prepare the consecration of the place and the laying of the Foundation stone of the new Church in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, which will be built in Chisinau, Dodon said. – Currently working on finding locations for the construction and development of the project of the Church.”

Also in his message, the head of Moldova congratulated all believers on the day of the uncovering of the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh, Recalling special attention to the veneration of this Saint in Moldova.

“In 2014 on my initiative to Moldova was delivered by the icon and the relics of the Monk of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, which came to venerate more than 200 thousand our compatriots. In 2015, we erected a monument to St. Sergius in Balti, which was consecrated by the Bishop of Balti and Falesti Markell”.
