With the blessing of Metropolitan of Ekaterinodar and Kuban Isidor, October 11, 2018 from Jerusalem to the Kuban for worship and spiritual support of believers will come the greatest Christian Shrine — reliquary of John the Baptist, the press Secretary of the St. Catherine Cathedral.
For Orthodox believers this event will be a unique opportunity to touch to the relics of the greatest of those born of women on earth person, a preacher of repentance who prepared the way of the Lord and who honor the whole Christian world.
In Krasnodar the Shrine will be only one Church – St. Catherine’s Cathedral (street of Communards, 52). The ark is permanently stored in one of the oldest Christian churches of the Greek monastery of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, to pray for the residents of Krasnodar, Krasnodar territory and neighboring regions.
The Shrine will stay in Kuban capital until 18 October, and then will be moved to Sochi. There in the temple of the Holy equal to the apostles great Prince Vladimir it will be until October 21.
In the days of the Shrine to St. Catherine’s Cathedral in Krasnodar will be open every day from 6:00 to 23:00 hours.
