Charges of the security Service of Ukraine that the Governor of the Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Metropolitan Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Paul allegedly participated in the preparation of provocations before the “unifying Council” in Kiev, directed against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This Hierarch said at a briefing on 14 December 2018, according to the portal “Orthodox life” with reference to Information and education Department of the UOC.
“This was a planned action against the Church and against me personally, because voiced all unrighteousness,” – said Metropolitan Paul, commenting on the statements by the Vice-Chairman of SBU Victor Kononenko.
The Lord has testified that “there is no conspiracy about any rallies with placards, unknown against what was not” and added: “I’m against rallies.”
“I think the SBU have less to perform custom actions. I was struck by what man says, but on the screen is not visible. If he’s telling the truth, then why be afraid, show the face… Change the voice. Why? If this is true, then the whole world must know about this man. So once again I want to tell you, dear brothers and sisters: this is a planned action against our Church,” – said the Governor of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
13 December 2018 Deputy Chairman of the security Service of Ukraine Viktor Kononenko accused the Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Paul in that he allegedly “had to coordinate the actions of the protesters” against the “unifying Council” in Kiev. According to the SBU, the stock was supposed to go on the territory of Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra on 13 and 14 December and lead to the riots victims. According to V.
