Vladimir Legoyda: the Invasion of the Constantinople Patriarchate on the canonical territory of the Moscow Patriarchate can’t be answered

The Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church and society and the media V. Legoida called unprecedented and a gross intrusion on the canonical territory of the Moscow Patriarchate appointment by the Patriarchate of Constantinople their representatives-bishops in Ukraine, according to patriarhiei.

“The appointment of the Patriarch of Constantinople their representatives-bishops in Ukraine — without the consent of the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia and his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine — there is nothing like an unprecedented gross intrusion on the canonical territory of the Moscow Patriarchate. Such actions cannot remain unanswered,” — said V. Legoida in his telegram channel.

Earlier it became known that the Patriarchate of Constantinople “in preparation for the granting of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine” was appointed its Exarch in Kyiv Archbishop Pamphylian Daniel from the USA and Bishop Hilarion of Edmonton Canada.
