The wonderworking icon “Look down on humility”
Believers expect to go 50 miles with the miraculous icon of the virgin “Look down on humility”.
3 July 2018, with the blessing of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius will take place the annual procession with the wonderworking icon of the Mother of God “Support to the humble,” reports pravlife.org.
The event will be held in honor of the 25th anniversary of the apparitions of the miraculous image of the virgin and the 140th anniversary of Kyiv Vvedensky monastery.
The pilgrims will be 50 kilometers from temple of Archangel Michael of the village of bilohorodka of the deposition to the monastery of tomashivka village, Kyiv region.
“Those wishing to participate from Kiev Svyato-Vvedensky monastery (Kiev, Moskovskaya St., 42) will be sent to the bus. The evening at the end of the procession, the monastery ensures the delivery of pilgrims to Kyiv”, – the organizers of the March.
Icon of the mother of God “Support to the humble” written in the nineteenth century with the miraculous image 1420, appeared on Stone lake in the Pskov region. In the Kiev Cathedral of the sign it was passed in 1992. In August 1993, the face of the virgin miraculously imprinted on the glass of the frame, whereby the Church formally recognized it as miraculous.
