Archbishop Theodosius expressed his gratitude to the Polish Church for the support of the UOC


At the Polish Embassy in Kiev was held a festive reception on the occasion of the national holiday of Poland – the 100th anniversary of renewal of independence of the Republic.

Vicar of the Kyiv metropolis on the reception at the Embassy of Poland thanked the Ambassador, the Orthodox of Poland and the Polish Orthodox Church for support of the canonical UOC

At the invitation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine Jan Hell and with the blessing of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius, Archbishop of boyar Theodosius visited November 20, a gala reception organized by the Embassy of Poland in Kiev on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of renewal of independence of the Republic. It is reported by Information Department of the UOC.

At the reception in honor of the national holiday of Poland, the Embassy was invited by government officials, leaders of religion, science and culture of Ukraine.

On behalf of the Primate of the UOC Archbishop boyar Theodosius congratulated the Ambassador on the holiday and expressed gratitude to the Polish Orthodox Church canonical for the support she has in this difficult time of the Church in Ukraine. The Hierarch noted that the solid canonical position shown by the Council of Bishops of the Polish Church against the Ukrainian Orthodoxy is not only an expression of fraternal solidarity between the Polish and Ukrainian peoples, but also a Testament to a solid and unwavering stand for the truth in the face of contemporary challenges.

The Archbishop also informed Mr. Ambassador, members of the diplomatic corps and members of the public about the provocations were organized against a number of dioceses and bishops of the Church in the last days.

As reported by PWC, informed the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church presented his Beatitude of Kiev and all Ukraine Onufry assurances in constant prayer and fraternal support and called on the faithful of the UOC to be brave, not give up and to keep unity around his head.
