The celebration 1030-anniversary of the Baptism of Rus in Kyiv representatives of 12 local Churches. This was reported the Deputy head of the DECR of the UOC Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich on his official page in Facebook.

“The UOC is invited delegations from 14 local Churches – said Archpriest Nikolai in his message. – At the celebration will be representatives of 12 Churches, most of which are headed by bishops. Among them the delegation of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. The responses by delegations from each Church we received for quite some time”.

According to Nicholas, the names of the bishops of each delegation will shortly publish on the official website of the UOC.

“Not on the celebration to come only the representatives of Antioch and the Church of Greece and then, only for technical reasons, – said the Deputy head of the DECR of the UOC. – Therefore it is not necessary to see the policy. Let me remind you that the Antioch Church accused Pro-Russian position, and even if so, she would have to come to us one of the first. However, different circumstances are in life, do’s and don’ts of strategic insights from the everyday Affairs”.

Archpriest Mykolai Danylevych noted that the number and level of Church delegations coming to the UPC indicate that all the Local Churches support the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by Metropolitan Onufry.

“Delegations from the local Churches come to the UOC, and not for power, (and certainly not to the “UOC-KP” and “human”) and will participate in Church activities. All this suggests that Local Churches will not support the idea of giving Thomas the bypass of the UOC”, – concluded the father of Nicholas.

Earlier, the Bishop of the Church of Jerusalem, Metropolitan Timothy Vostri attending celebrations in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, said that “his Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry valued and respected by the heads of all the local Churches.”
