Pravoslavnoi Bishop of the Serbian Church Bishop Moravicki Anthony
At the invitation of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius for the celebrations in honor of the baptism of Russia arrived in Kiev, the representative of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Moravicki Bishop Anthony expressed his hope that the Orthodox in Ukraine will preserve the Holy Orthodox faith and their canonical Church, according to the channel Kievan Rus.
“For us as Slavs is a national holiday and we rejoice together with the whole Ukraine to this great event – said Bishop Anthony about the celebration of the baptism of Rus. – For our people is very important part in these celebrations, because we are one family, unified the Slavic people, half, who, like you, has been suffering a civil war, but preserved Holy Orthodoxy in integrity – not separated the Holy Orthodox Serbian Church, despite the many political and national issues that were in the former Yugoslavia. I hope also that the Orthodox Church in Ukraine will protect its unity under the omophorion of his Beatitude Onufry”.
The Hierarch of the Serbian Church said that he came to support the Primate and all the faithful of the UOC.
