Parishes of the Donetsk and gorlovskij diocese are on both sides of the demarcation line. For the full exercise of his Ministry the ruling bishops of these dioceses should be present in the parishes and monasteries on both sides, noted in the diocese.
Two days earlier, bishops are not allowed to enter Ukraine for fulfillment of divine service in the Uspensky Nikolo-Vasilyevsky monastery, saying that from 7 December, the security Service of Ukraine revoked their passes. About the reasons for the cancellation of permits is not reported.
The head of the Donetsk regional state administration said on its Facebook page on an open dismantlability of Donetsk and Mariupol Hilarion on the incident and promised to find out why Metropolitan Hilarion passed through the line of demarcation.
