For five days in the camp rested for 120 children
Orthodox children’s camp “Bethlehem” was attended by managing Director of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary and blessed the participants.
Within five days 120 children took an active part in the busy programme with prayers and conversations with priests, and a variety of sports games, the press service of the diocese.
The program included morning and evening prayer, exercises, sports and interactive games, quests, conversations with priests, the evening Kinopalace sailing on a catamaran, horse riding and participation in the divine Liturgy at the convent in honor of Saint Martyr Elizabeth on the shore of the Gums.
This year, according to tradition, the camp was visited by the Metropolitan of Boryspil Anthony, who blessed the camp and sang with the children anthem.
On the last day the camp was visited by Yuri Lipase, which is in Ukraine the international community of Sant’egidio. He told campers how important it is not to be afraid to do good deeds in his life and to show mercy to the people that surround us.
Campers and counselors demonstrated prepared by the groups of theatrical performances and their talents.
The camp ended thanksgiving and awarding of commendations and certificates to the participants.
In the camp some of the kids first started the sacrament of confession and communion.
Traditional Orthodox children’s camp “Bethlehem” in the village zazimya Brovarsky area of the Kiev region was held from 16 to 20 July.
Earlier, in 2017, Chancellor of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary (Pakanich) visited the Orthodox camp “Bethlehem” in the village of Vlasivka baryshevsky district. The Bishop celebrated a prayer service at the miracle-working icon of mother of God “Iveron Radomyshl”.
