Church last time

If in Apostolic times there was a single true Church of Christ today a growing number of denominations makes it difficult for many people, the question, which Church should you join? Trying to answer this question, I explored the Scriptures, and now I share with you a few thoughts.

The Bible says that God has a special people, His Church on earth, which proclaims the truth of the gospel. He showed the Apostle John in the vision of these people, victorious over the forces of evil and remaining true to His Lord: “And I saw as though a sea of glass mingled with fire; and the victory… stand on that sea of glass, holding harps of God and sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the lamb, saying, great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty! righteous and true are Thy ways, thou King of saints!” “And I looked, and, lo, a lamb stood on the mount Sion and with Him an hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father’s name written in their foreheads” (Revelation 15:2, 3; 14:1). Saved dedicated his mind to God, they served Him with mind and heart, and now He can capture Their name they have “in person”. “And they will reign forever and ever” (Revelation 22:5). That appeal to them the words of Christ: “Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the Foundation of the world” (Matthew 25:34).

The head of the true Church — Christ

The Apostle Paul writes: “Christ is the head of the Church” (Ephesians 5:23). So, no, the Governor of the people has no right to take His place. The true Church must be considered its Head of Christ. Look for a Church that puts Christ’s rightful place.

The soon coming of Christ

Jesus said, “and if I go And prepare a place for you, I will come again” (John 14:3). Reading these words, I conclude that the true Church believes that Christ will come to earth the second time to take to Himself a faithful people.

Among the Christian denominations is the Church, whose name speaks of faith in the Second coming of Christ. This is the Church of Christians-Adventists of the seventh day. The word “Adventist” comes from the Latin adventus — “coming”.

The gospel contains the prophetic words of Christ: “And will be preached this gospel of the Kingdom in all the world for a witness unto all Nations” (Matthew 24:14). Therefore, the Church of God is not only waiting for the return of the Lord, but boldly proclaiming the gospel.

Compliance With The Law Of God

Speaking of keeping the commandments of God, Jesus said, “Whoever practices and teaches, he shall be called great in the Kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:19). In carrying out this mandate, the seventh day Adventists not only observe all the Ten Commandments, including the commandment on the Sabbath — the seventh day of rest established by God, but encourage others to do.

Seeing how a relatively small nation that teaches the world to obey the commandments, Satan gets depressed. He wants more people killed. Because he says that the commandments are abolished, and the law optional. Many centuries ago was predicted a fierce struggle between Satan and God’s Church: “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” (Revelation 12:17).

The gift of prophecy

According to the book of Revelation, the Church of the remnant has another distinctive feature. It has “the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Later in the same book, explained: “the Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10).

For centuries God has used the prophetic gift to reveal to the people God’s future, to rebuke, to correct and to call him to true piety. To send a special message to His people living in the last days of world history, God used a woman named Ellen white, who founded the Church of seventh-day Adventists. Her works do not supplant the Bible. Reading even just one of her many books called “the Great controversy” convinced of God’s leadership and helps to better understand the Holy Scriptures and modern world events.

Matters of faith the last time

The Church has successfully implemented a programme of teaching and healing. Church of seventh day Adventists does this work worldwide. Schools and colleges, hospitals, clinics and health centres in different countries testify to Jesus as the Great Teacher and Doctor. Charities in many countries assist the poor and needy.

One flock and one Shepherd

I once read in the Bible the words that made me think: “I have other sheep that are not of this fold, I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and there shall be one flock and one Shepherd” (John 10:16). Jesus speaks about believing people (His “sheep”), but not all of them are still in the courtyard of God. Someone is wandering, not realizing that he is lost to God, someone is looking for the way to God, the Bible explores, analyzes, and seeks the right way to come to Christ. Obviously, the closer the time for the Coming of Christ, the brighter will be the call of God to join the community of people living strictly by the Bible and all the commandments of God’s Law. In Christ’s one “herd” — a community of faithful people. Every year on the call of Christ, respond to thousands of people. “My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). “Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice” (John 18:37). God’s followers come to a simple and effective faith in Christ from the North and from the South, from multilingual countries of the East and the Western hemisphere. They all recognize the cross of Christ and God’s Commandments.

What Church do belong to? This is a question which each man takes himself. It is impossible to make it right, not picking up a Bible and starting by yourself, with a prayer to understand the basics of Christian doctrine, carefully separating man’s tradition from the true commandments of God. So help us Lord to find that the only way for yourself!
