Completed applications for the international open grant contest “Orthodox initiative 2018 -2019”

    

23 Oct 2018 ended accepting applications for the international open grant contest “Orthodox initiative 2018-2019”. In total the competition received 1250 applications from 77 regions of Russia and 14 countries of near and far abroad, including 313 in the category “Small towns and villages”, according to patriarhiei.

The number of the submitted applications were the following project areas:

  • “Education and training” — 471
  • “Social service” — 342, among them, 20 projects in the category “Shelters for pregnant women”
  • “Culture” — 354
  • Outreach — 83

According to the approved by the most Holy Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill to the Regulation on the competition program and the notice of his announcement, the winners will be announced no later than 1 March 2019. Implementation of projects will begin no earlier than March 20, 2019 and will end no later than January 20, 2020. The implementation period of the projects may not be more than 9 months.

Competitive selection of bids submitted will be held in accordance with the Regulation on the procedure of examination of projects of the International open grant contest “Orthodox initiative”, approved by the Board of the Foundation “Together” in coordination with the Executive Director coordinating Committee.

International open grant contest “Orthodox initiative 2018-2019” was launched on 1 September 2018, with the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill. Reviewed applications submitted for the following project areas: “Education and upbringing”, “Social service”, “Culture”, “Information work.” In the framework of the direction “Social service” save nomination “Shelters for pregnant women”. The amount of grant support for the nomination may reach 1 mln. In the framework of Competition also preserved the special nomination “Small towns and villages” with the amount of grant support to 300 thousand rubles.

In the Competition there are three types of projects — local, network, and infrastructure/backbone. Local projects are implemented by one organization in one or several constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The winners can count on a grant in the amount of not more than 600 thousand RUB Network projects are being implemented in at least two subjects of the Russian Federation two or more organizations. Requested grant amount may not exceed 1 million rubles.
