I need a defender

Have you ever thought ever about God’s judgment? Will affect whether the court of each of us? Open the Bible to understand this issue.

I once had to attend the court hearing, where the case of a crime. Since the charges against the lawyer was not a strong case, the perpetrator of the crime was convicted and sentenced to several years in prison. Every day in our country are the thousands of sentences like this, and this is truly the hour of the tragedy for the accused and his family. But fortunately many suspects, the result of a court is not always so. When he pronounced: “not guilty,” a wave of joy coursing through the person of the defendant and close it sigh of relief.

In the Bible we find an important prophecy in which each person reported that he sent a summons to the heavenly Court: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what he has done while in the body, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

Court

The Bible assigns the subject of the court an important place, especially in the two prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation. “Fear God and give Him glory, because came the hour of His judgment, and worship the maker of heaven and earth, and sea, and the fountains of waters” (revelation 14:7). Please note, the court stated in the present tense. But when the time of the court? This is stated in the book of Daniel: “And he said to me: “for two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed”” (8:14). You can ask a fair question: “What does Heavenly Court has the cleansing of the sanctuary?” If you have the patience to study the Bible, the question will soon become apparent.

The cleansing of the sanctuary

The Bible speaks of two sanctuaries — one in heaven, another earth, arranged in the image of heaven. The earthly sanctuary was built by the commandment of God by Jews in the time of Moses and served as an illustration of the Divine plan of salvation for all people.

In the sanctuary were made two regular services: daily and annual. The daily service consisted of the following: when man broke God’s Law, i.e., committed a sin, he brought the sacrificial animal, confessed over him his sin, and then personally kill him. The priest took some of the blood and made the first part of the sanctuary. Sin, therefore, as it were, withdrawn from the sinner, the responsibility was assigned to animal completely innocent man, and sin transferred to the sanctuary. So throughout the year the sins of the people accumulated there. The dying lamb was symbolic of the coming of Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice. This lasted for a year.

But there came a special annual service. Ten days before a certain date all residents notify on the occurrence of judgment days, and then through another symbolic service the sanctuary was cleansed.

People had 10 days to look into their own hearts and to confess sins. The day of atonement the sanctuary was the great day of judgment. Now there is the sanctuary of what was biblical Israel. But there is another, heavenly, referred to as about the sky, “For Christ entered not into a sanctuary made with hands, the figures of the true [arranged], but into the heaven itself, now to appear for us before the face of God” (Hebrews 9:24).

Now, out of the parts of mosaic, gathered in one picture. Day after day, as the children of God confess their sins, Jesus as high priest through His sacrifice brings their sins in the sanctuary, with the result that people get forgiveness. So, before Jesus will come again to our planet in the end time, the heavenly sanctuary must be cleansed. The prophecy of Daniel 8:14 clearly says that the cleansing of the Sanctuary will begin after the expiration of the 2300 days.

The exact date

One day in the prophetic narrative is one year. The beginning of the period is 2300 years 457 BC (see Daniel 9:24, 25). This year the decree of Persian king Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem.

Thus, the Bible reveals that since 1844 in Heaven began the Court, which will consider the personal Affairs of the inhabitants of the planet Earth, starting from Adam and ending with the living. This startling discovery: we are the generation living at the time of God’s judgment!

457 BC + 2300 prophetic days (i.e., literal years) = 1844 ad!

Time to prepare for the judgment

What purpose sounds the news of the court? It was given specifically so that we could prepare for this important event. What will appear that will tell you when it’s your turn to answer for everything you have done or not done?

The second Coming of Jesus Christ will divide mankind into the righteous and the wicked. The court that determines each individual’s situation must be terminated before the coming of Christ. He comes to enforcement.

Heavenly judgment is a process of a thorough investigation of all human life. The main purpose of the heavenly Judge a person’s salvation for eternal life. “Do I want the death of the wicked? saith the Lord God. Not that he should return from his ways and live?” (Ezekiel 18:23).

“And how accurate is this?”, — you will ask. The word of God says: “For every deed will God bring into judgment, with every secret, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14). Before God brought the real essence of the personality without any camouflage and lies. Previously secret recesses of double life would open and what seemed like a secret will be revealed.

Today, perhaps it’s time for the proceedings with your name. God knows not only our deeds and words but also our thoughts and the motives that prompted us to make a decision. “Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, Who will illuminate the hidden things of darkness and reveal the hearts: and then shall every man have praise from God” (1 Corinthians 4:5). Another text of Scripture tells us that in the proceedings in heavenly Court takes into account the whole context of human life: “I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings” (Jeremiah 17:10).

Heavenly books keep an accurate account of the lives of all people that have ever lived on earth. And these books are the most faithful representatives of the person at the heavenly Court.

Standard Heavenly court

What criteria should be judged by people? Wise king Solomon said: “Listen to the essence of the whole matter: fear God and keep His commandments, because this is the whole duty of man; for every work God will bring into judgment, with every secret, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).

So, the criteria that will be assessed people’s lives at the heavenly Court, God’s Law, the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:2-17). On the 7th page of that paper written the full text of the law of God. You can open it to examine whether all his commandments are reflected in your life.

Should we be afraid of the court?

Yes and no. God’s judgment is strict and fair. But the good news is that on the court you can come with the Defender.

The son of God Jesus Christ has paid the price for your guilt. He redeemed you by sacrificing his life on the cross for our salvation. Now your choice: to believe Him with all your heart and accept Him as their Savior or to reject and go back under the yoke of guilt for his crimes. No man can be justified in the heavenly Court without Jesus Christ! If you are with Christ, nothing to fear! “The blood of Jesus Christ… cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

If one of us had to be alone to stand on the heavenly Tribunal, we would have absolutely no hope. But, thank God, Jesus, our Protector and Intercessor before God the Father, will stand beside us. If our response to His infinite love will be a desire to repent of sins and forsake them, He will cover them and Their blood will wash us. Then we come to the heavenly Court, not in the torn rags of his self-righteousness and white robes of His righteousness. If you strongly and totally dedicate your life to Jesus, you can have absolute confidence that you have a personal representative at the Court of the Universe. Thank God, that Christ our advocate stands up for us on the Court.
