The military court of Egypt has sentenced seventeen participants of attacks on the Coptic Church to death. About it reports Agency Beta.
At the same time to life imprisonment sentenced 19 convicted prisoners, and ten received sentences ranging from 10 to 15 years of imprisonment for participation in preparation and attacks on Coptic churches in Cairo, Tanta and Alexandria, which occurred in 2016 and 2017, which killed 74 people.
Responsibility for the attacks of suicide bombers on two of the Coptic Church in April of 2017 took the so-called Islamic state.
Following the attacks, the Egyptian Parliament approved the introduction of a three-month state of emergency in the country.
