November 3, Archbishop Tikhon of Podolsk, managing Berlin-a German Archdiocese made a Great consecration of the temple in honor of the Theodore icon of the Mother of God in the city of bad Lippspringe near Paderborn and celebrated the divine Liturgy in the newly consecrated Church. Also was consecrated antimins for parishes in the cities of Duisburg and Bielefeld.
His Eminence was assisted by Archpriest Sergei Ilyin, rector of the Church, hieromonk Benedict (Schneider), priest Alexander Ilyin, Eugene Theodore, Maxim Garden, Protodeacon Vitaly Sadakov, deacon Andrey Ilyin, reports the website of the Berlin-German diocese.
Sang at the divine service the men’s choir of the Pochaev Seminary. Praying at the Church were believers who came from Paderborn, Bielefeld, Lippstadt, Marsberg, Brakes, Bonn, as well as Orthodox students studying in Germany.
After the Liturgy, Archbishop Tikhon appealed to the worshippers, congratulating all on the occasion. “I would like to thank all those who worked beside her pastor to recreate the beauty, Majesty and grandeur befitting the Church of God; to thank you for your fervent prayers, contributions and love, to manifest God. God will be no one in debt. The man who laid a single stone in the Foundation of the temple of God, believes strong Foundation for your future an eternal and blessed life.
