Parting with the deceased Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya Tikhon
The farewell was held in the Cathedral of the Nativity in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The burial service of the late Bishop of Ivano-Frankivsk and Kolomiya Tikhon made on July 21 after the divine Liturgy, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
The body of Bishop Tikhon will be taken to Chernivtsi for burial. The coffin with the body of the deceased was taken before the evening Liturgy in the Cathedral of St. dukhovskoi Cathedral in Chernivtsi.
The rite of burial will take place on July 22, after the early Liturgy. With the blessing of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufriy, the rite of the burial of Bishop Tikhon (Chizhevsky) will be headed by the Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Meletius.
The Manager of the Ivano-Frankivsk diocese, Bishop Tikhon (in the world Stephen V. Chizhevsky) reposed in the Lord on July 14, 2018 after a long illness, during their stay in Greece. The late Vladyka gave to the service of the Orthodox Church 45 years of his life.
