From 4 to 6 September 2018 in Kemerovo was the ark with the right hand of St. Spyridon. During this time, the Shrine was worshipped more than 27 thousand people, according to patriarhiei.
Kemerovo Znamensky Cathedral, which was the ark with the Holy relics, visited by pilgrims from Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk, Barnaul and other cities of Siberia and Kuzbass. Two days on the territory of the Cathedral complex, it was about 90 buses with pilgrims. Worship, the reading of the akathist to the hand of the Prelate continued until late time, and everyone could participate in worship services.
All this time the pilgrims who came to worship the Shrine, assisted by representatives of public and voluntary organizations. Cossacks and members of volunteer diocesan center, volunteers from the Kemerovo Governor’s school and regional medical College, as well as other organizations cooperating with the Kemerovo diocese, assisted people with disabilities, pregnant women, mothers with young children and elderly pilgrims.
People standing in the queue to the relics, had the opportunity to read the life of the Saint, to obtain information on the activities of the diocese and Church sacraments. The head of the volunteer center of the Kemerovo diocese priest Michael Pisinski said: “This work has given young boys and girls who took part in it, not only great experience but also a charge of good impressions”.
