Bishop Baryshevsky Victor (Kotsaba)
Bishop Baryshevsky Victor took part in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of Duchess Elizabeth.
In Poland, the vicar of the Kyiv metropolis Bishop Baryshevsky Victor celebrates the day of memory of St. Princess Elizabeth, according to Information-Enlightenment Department of the UOC.
Worship was held in the Church of Archangel Michael in the village Sokolovsko-Valbiska County Dolnoslaskie province.
The priests of the Polish Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church went in procession from the temple to the house of St. Elizabeth, where in the chapel in her honor, a moleben was served. Princess Elizabeth at the time, helped organize the construction of the temple of Archangel Michael in Sokolovsko.
In the end the Bishop Baryshevsky Victor greeted the members, guests and pilgrims, who arrived from Ukraine, Czech Republic and Germany. The Abbot of the temple he gave them the icon of All Holy warriors.
In the evening on the Central square of the village held a festival “White Lily”. With a musical program was made by children’s ensemble of the Ukrainian children from Wroclaw “Belcanto”, the winner of the TV project “Voice of country – 2017” Archpriest Alexander Klimenko and the well-known Japanese pianist Atsuko Seta.
On July 18 the Orthodox Church honors the tragic death of the Martyr Duchess Elizabeth, who was murdered by the Bolsheviks in 1918, the day after the execution of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and his family.
In the night from 16 to 17 July in Yekaterinburg held a mass procession, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of the Royal martyrs.
