In Poland, the chaplains of the UOC took part in the 13-km long procession

The delegation of the UOC joined the pilgrimage to the Holy mountain Grabarka in Poland.

Chaplains of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, headed by the head of the military Department Vladimir-Volyn diocese Archpriest Alexei Sharan, made the 13-kilometer pilgrimage in Poland, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.

The procession began on August 17 with a common prayer for Liturgy in the Church of the city of Semjatyche (Poland), headed by Orthodox Ordinary of the Polish army, Archbishop Georgy concelebrated by chaplains. At the service prayed together military, border guards, customs officers from Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Belgium.

Then the pilgrims went on the road with their crosses. August 18, in the temple atop the Holy mountain of Grabarka was divine Liturgy. After the Liturgy, Archpriest Alexei Sharan thanked the Polish clergy for the invitation and received the gift from the head of the Synodal Department of the UOC for relations with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Metropolitan Augustine, the icon of the Mother of God “Works”.

The hill of Crosses Grabarka is widely revered Shrine of the Orthodox of Poland. This place is known for a tradition of building crosses on the top of the mountain. Annually from Bialystok to Grabarka three days moving the cross procession.
