The list on the memorial in Victory Park Saratov will be enriched by the names of the two police officers killed in militant attacks on an Orthodox Church in Grozny in may of this year, reports Interfax-Religion with the reference to the press service of the Ministry of internal policy of the region.
“July 1, the Day for combat veterans, at the initiative of the Saratov regional branch of “Combat brotherhood”, the names of Vladimir Gorskov and Kairat Rakhmetova will be listed on the memorial stele “to the Countrymen who died in local wars”, the message reads.
The memory of the fallen officers will be honored with a moment of silence, will be given triple salute of small arms.
As reported, the staff of the Saratov police V. Gorshkov and K. Rakhmetov was killed may 19 in repelling the attack of militants in the Church of Archangel Michael in Grozny. The bandits tried to capture the congregation.
Saratov police were in the North Caucasus in the semi-annual business trip.
