The biggest prayer meeting in South Africa was held on Saturday, April 22, when more than 1 700 000 of the faithful gathered in Bloemfontein to intercede for the country and pray against maladministration and persecution of Christians.

One of the organizers, an Evangelist from Zimbabwe Angus Buchan called the elapsed event is “the largest prayer meeting was in Africa.”
The meeting was held in Bloemfontein, province Free state. The petition for the country was attended by believers from different denominations, races and cultures.
“This is a day of prayer for all South Africans, whether male or female, regardless of race and religion. We are here to get rid of hatred, violence, murder and corruption in the country, said Buchan. We cry to God to bring justice, peace and hope in our beloved South Africa.”
Invitation to prayer was sent via a video message from Angus Buchan in WhatsApp. Within a few hours after the publication came more than 1 800 000 replies from those who would like to attend the service, and those who will support in prayer at a distance.
According to estimates published pictures and video in the service was attended by not less than 1 700 000 people.
