On the eve of memorial day of journalists of Ukraine, Metropolitan Irinej officiated a memorial service in the Cathedral of the Dnieper.
At the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Dnieper, at the initiative of the Dnepropetrovsk regional organization of National Union of journalists of Ukraine held a memorial service for fallen and deceased journalists. This is the website of the diocese of Dnipropetrovsk.

“Today we have gathered to pray for the repose of the departed journalists, Archbishop Irenaeus. They are now in another dimension of eternal life. Therefore it is very important to remember them in prayer. Praying for them, we help them, help you, and they do not remain in debt to their prayers support us. This prayer communication is very important. It’s nice that you have restored and maintain. Every year we committed commemoration of the dead journalists, and now let’s all pray for the repose of their souls.”
At a memorial service attended by family, friends and colleagues of his comrades in the profession. The remembrance day of journalists of Ukraine is celebrated annually on the third Friday of September.
