3-4 October 2018 at the Moscow spiritual Academy will be held XI international scientific conference “the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in history, culture and spiritual life of Russia”, reports patriarhiei.
The event is organized by the Ministry of culture of the Moscow region, Sergievo-Posadskiy state history-art Museum-reserve and the Holy Trinity-St. Sergius Lavra.
The conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Commission for the protection of monuments of art and antiquities of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, who performed a huge work to determine the artistic value of the treasures of an ancient monastery, their study and publication, the organization of their restoration.
The forum will feature more than 40 presentations by well-known researchers from scientific institutions and museums of Bologna (Italy), Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Vologda, Petrozavodsk, Rostov, Kaluga, Kazan, Kostroma, Volgograd, Sergiev Posad. Active participation in the conference is received by the Sergiev Posad Museum-reserve.
Regularly held conferences attested to the relevance of the project Sergievo-townsmen by the Museum in conjunction with the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra and the Moscow theological Academy in 1998.
By the beginning of the conference will be published abstracts and proceedings a previous X-conference, held on 26-27 October 2016.
