October 3, 2018 at 10:30 in the press center TASS the Federal Agency for tourism will represent the Federal project “Shrines of Russia”, aimed at popularization of history and culture of Russia. In addition, the project team will present the program which will be broadcast in October on TV channel “Spas”.
The project “Shrines of Russia” is being implemented by the Federal Agency for tourism together with the Public Council under the Federal tourism Agency, with the support of the Patriarchal Council for culture and aimed at attracting attention of Russian and foreign tourists situated on the territory of Russia the monuments of religious culture and sites of spiritual heritage, popularization of the Russian Federation as an interesting and attractive travel destinations and pilgrimage educational nature.
In June 2018 in conjunction with the TV channel “Spas” was the start of the filming of “the Shrines of Russia” – part of a large-scale Federal project. Leading multi-part road movie became Anton and Victoria Makarska. Traveling through the regions of Russia by car, the couple tell viewers about the Orthodox Holy places, tourist characteristics of the areas on which they are located, transport and accommodation, the monastery and traditional local cuisine. The first season of filming was held in the Vladimir, Vologda, Kaluga, Kostroma, Leningrad, Moscow, Novgorod, Pskov, Nizhny Novgorod, Tver, Yaroslavl regions, St. Petersburg, Moscow, the Republic of Karelia. Premiere of 6 October on the TV channel “Spas”.
At the presentation of the project will be shown fragments of TV shows, also the speakers will talk about the next stages of the ambitious program “Sanctuary Russia.” The press conference will be attended by the Head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, General Director of TV channel “Spas” Boris korchevnikov, leading the project, Anton and Victoria Makarska, representatives of the Public Council under the Federal tourism Agency and the sectoral agencies in the field of tourism, some regions of Russia.
