February 10, 2019, a group of raiders led by three representatives of the Kiev Patriarchate captured St. Elijah’s Church that is located in the village of Yasinya/Lopushanka Jasinjanska Khust deanery of the diocese of the UOC. According to his statement, he has already made and issued a decree on the admission of parishes of the UOC in Lopushanka and Velykyi Bychkiv to his structure.

Traditionally meeting on the transition in ptsu initiators actively urged people not involved in the life of the parish community. They vote “for transition”, after which the entrance to the temple opened, and from it the faithful are pushed back.

Today in Lopushanka is a functioning community of the UOC. The priest and with him the remaining 25-30 parishioners will be to find room to replace the stolen temple. According to Dean’s father Vitaly, to capture the temple was visited by slightly more people – 40-45 people.
