In Vladimir-Volyn diocese consecrated a new Church in honor of St. Nicholas


In the village of Volyn region Zadyby consecrated a new Church of the UOC.

Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskyi and Kovel, Vladimir called for a pastoral visit Zadyby village turiysk district, where he performed the rite of consecration of the new temple of the UOC.

On Saturday after Christmas, January 12, 2019, his Eminence, Metropolitan Volodymyr (Melnyk) has performed the rite of consecration of newly built Church of St. Nicholas, assisted by Dean turiysk district, Archpriest Vitalii Duda, Abbot of the temple Archpriest Victor Frost and clergy of the deanery, reports the website of Vladimir-Volyn diocese of the UOC.

After the rite of consecration of Metropolitan Volodymyr in concelebration of the Cathedral clergy, headed by the first festive Liturgy in the temple, in which was a prayer for Ukraine.

“Today we have done a great thing – consecrated a new Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church addressed the faithful after the ruling Bishop of the dismissal of the Liturgy. – As a person in the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation is born for the Kingdom of God, is sanctified, it becomes a part of the spiritual body of the Church, i.e. a brand new person, a Christian, and the building becomes a temple, a place of special presence of God on earth only after its consecration.”

Also, with the blessing of the UOC Primate his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Onufry, Metropolitan Hilarion presented Church awards to the benefactors Elena and Oksana Lysakova, whose efforts in the village was built a new temple: Elena was awarded the order of Princess Olha, Oksana – insignia of Vladimir-Volyn diocese.

As reported by the SPM, 30 December 2018 in Sverdlovsk, the bishops of the two dioceses of the Luhansk region, has consecrated a new Church in honor of the patron Saint and healer of the children of St. St. Stylianou Poplavskogo.
