Liturgy in the Svyato-Vvedensky monastery
Kiev Svyato-Vvedensky monastery celebrated the anniversary of the founding of the monastery.
On November 27 in Kiev Svyato-Vvedensky monastery hosted a celebration in honor of the 140th anniversary of the consecration of the monastery. This is the website Tulchinsky diocese.
On the occasion, the monastery was held the festive divine service. The divine Liturgy was headed by Metropolitan of Tulchin and Bratslav Jonathan in concelebration with Metropolitan of bila Tserkva and boguslawski Augustine, Archbishop Fastovsky Damian and other hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, arrived on the occasion.
After the Gospel reading, Archbishop Jonathan addressed the faithful with a sermon in which he interpreted the words of the Lord “the Father is in Me and I in Him” (Jn. 10:38) and talked about three ways of knowing God: through divine Revelation, through prayer and bogorodichna and through the study of God’s created nature. The Hierarch called to keep the unity of the Church in the face of adversity that the Lord sends her faithful children today.
At the end of the Liturgy Archbishop Daming gave to all bishops, the participants of the celebrations, a memorial sign in honor of the 140th anniversary of the Vvedensky monastery.
