Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy demands to stop the aggression against believers

In connection with the incident at Holy Trinity Church in Bohorodchany, Ivano-Frankivsk diocese urged the authorities to resolve disputed issues exclusively in the legal field.

In the diocese need not resort to aggression and physical force against believers of the UOC. This reports the press service of the diocese.

As reported in Bohorodchany representatives of local authorities with the participation of “Right sector”, headed by the head of the organization mark Belgacom, seized the building of the Metropolitan Palace at St. Trinity Cathedral of the UOC.

Not presenting any official documents, they broke the Windows and severely beat up believers, including the rector of the Church Archpriest Vladimir SHUVAR. One of the participants capture the inside of a temple and tried to open it from the inside.

The incident was provoked by the decision of the representatives of local self-government on the transfer of the premises of the Metropolitan chambers of the school of music.

Ivano-Frankivsk eparchy of the UOC urged the authorities and political organizations, especially in the current difficult and stressful time, to peacefully resolve disputed issues of property and different nature, and to stop the aggression against Orthodox Ukrainians.

September 28, activists from the organization “Right sector” seized part of the premises at Holy Trinity Church in Bohorodchany, Ivano-Frankivsk region and beat the believers of the UOC. Bursting, the radicals attacked the people who were inside. As a result, several people received serious injuries – two men broke his arm, one got a concussion. The prior of a temple father Vladimir SHUVAR kicks pushed out. Thus expelling all of the parishioners, the raiders changed the locks.
