Managing the Affairs of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary (Pakanich) on behalf of all the fullness of the canonical Church congratulates Primate on Christmas
God came to earth not for the sake of restoring political independence of Israel, and to return people to immortality and heaven, reminded Bishop Anthony.
The way of Christ and the Church is through humility and sacrifice, and if we in the Church, then you must take the road of our Savior, said Chancellor of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary (Pakanich).
The Lord suffers all his life, because he knows – fix man can only love, said Bishop Anthony, on behalf of all the fullness of the canonical Church congratulated Nativity of his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onuphrius.
“Even to a small extent, but not necessarily Christ’s earthly Life of the Savior should appear in the life of each of us,” said the Bishop.
He reminded that salvation can only be faithful to the Savior and the Mother Church.
“Today, when our Church, as a little baby, unable to do anything to those who consider themselves powerful, we believe and know from experience of previous generations of Orthodox Christians that faithfulness to God and the Church is the only life-giving force that will help us to pass the field of earth life and reach the Kingdom of the newborn infant. This is why God comes to earth” – said Bishop Anthony.
The Hierarch of the UOC said that the Savior was born in Bethlehem the cave is not for the sake of restoring political independence of Israel, or of the improvement of the economy.
“God comes to the other. His task is to restore people’s immortality, and the sky,” said Metropolitan Anthony.
He thanked the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for their steadfast faith in the difficult to be the canonical Church and recalled the words of St. John Chrysostom, who said that “all who struggle with the Church wrestles with God”.
“Anyone who wants to change the meaning of the incarnation, all who want the Church to serve the earthly purposes will be defeated,” concluded the Metropolitan.
Earlier, the Metropolitan of Boryspil and Brovarsky Anthony urged the congregation not to lose faith in the salvation and dignity to overcome suffering.
He also stressed that due to the trials the Church has received the chance to become stronger. “Good always triumphs over evil and love will prevail. All this will certainly happen. Only such a victory should occur first in our hearts, when we are in defense of Truth, rejecting the lies and the darkness,” said the Bishop.
