Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) spoke about the attitude of the UOC to the Tomos signed by the Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew January 5, 2019.
Managing the Affairs of the UOC Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary said that none of the events of the earth’s nature should not obscure Christian holiday.

As reported by the SPM, 5 January 2019 under the sounds of Christmas carols and shouting “Glory to Ukraine – glory to heroes!” at Istanbul’s Patriarchal Holy St. George temple was held the ceremony of signing of the Tomos. 6 January 2019 Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presented the “Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine” Epiphanius Tomos and Metropolitan staff. In Ukraine Tomos will be presented on 7 January, in the Cathedral of St. Sophia, but to see him only favorites: the entrance to the Cathedral will be limited.
