His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufry
When we do some good deed to our neighbor, we must go into the shadows of humility, says the Primate of the UOC.
His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and all Ukraine Onufry said that good deeds have to do as the Savior did, according to Information-enlightenment Department of the UOC.
“When we, having some good deed, or rather the Lord, through us, to do good to our neighbor, we must go into the shadows of humility. Healed the blind, the Lord, by our standards, was supposed to be, to take a photo with him, put somewhere that all people have seen, and the Lord said to him: “your Faith has saved you.” (LK. 18: 42). His human nature is immediately removed to the side,” – said the Primate.
According to the Archbishop, “we should not interfere with our neighbor to see his real benefactor – the Lord.”
He said that if we don’t advertize their good deeds, “the Lord is good, for what we just gave Him a gun, gives us a reward. But if we clapped hands and praised us, we have had your reward here on earth”.
His Beatitude the Archbishop wished all the powers of the mind, creating a good not to talk about it.
“Then our life will be right, and God’s blessing will rest upon us, and we will go the way that the Lord has called narrow, but which leads a person to happiness, to joy, to peace, and to eternal salvation in Heaven in Christ Jesus our Lord”, he concluded.
As reported by PWC, informed in the next issue of the weekly program “word of the Patriarch” his Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry called on everyone to learn the right prayer and not to forget “to hide himself in the shadow of humility.”
