With the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill on 10 September 2018 in Moscow opens the exhibition “the Konevets monastery — Shrine, which is nearby” is devoted to the 625 anniversary of the Konevsky Christmas-mother of God monastery, according to patriarhiei.
The exhibition will be organized at the exhibition complex Cathedral of Christ the Savior (Moscow, Volkhonka 15, the entrance to the stylobate of the temple of the Church of the Transfiguration).
The exhibition will open on 10 September at 14.00 and will run until September 20 inclusive.
The exhibition will feature contemporary and archival photographs. Most of these materials will be on display for the first time. The author of the modern photographs — Paul Bushuev.
The collection of historical material and preparation of the exhibition took place with the personal participation of the Bishop of Vyborg and Priozersky Ignatius, the father superior of the Konevsky monastery.
The photo exhibition “the Konevets monastery — Shrine, which is near” in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior will continue the chain of events of the jubilee year celebrating the 625 anniversary of the founding of the Konevsky monastery. The celebration on June 25 was opened by Bishop Ignaty of Vyborg. During the 2018 and 2019 years jubilee of the monastery will be dedicated to conferences, youth forums and reading. As expected, the celebrations on the occasion of the jubilee will end with a primatial visit of his Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Konevsky monastery.
